On the 4th of september the first The Hague Museumnight will take place. Culture will be mixed with over twenty museums and galleries opening their doors to the public. The night will start at 19.30 until 02.00 at night. Below you will find several highlights of what gem/museum of photography and the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag have to offer:
•The kick-off for Museumnacht 2010 starts at Gemeentemuseum Den Haag! Our visitors will be treated to a unique experience while entering the museum. Artist Sara Vrugt is going to intensify the experience of walking through our doors. Instead of shamelessly eyeing other people they will now be staring right back at you!
•The museum will offer several English spoken guide tours through the museum. Enjoy these tours while a guerrilla dance team takes over our halls with their theatrical movement performances!
•With Radio Barkas providing us vintage tunes in the background our visitors can enjoy multiple live performances outside. Enjoy a culinary treat at the Eet-O-Theek, discover the newest and youngest opera sensation the Netherlands has to offer or sit back and relax while enjoying our outdoor cinema. After 23.00 you are more than welcome at GEM for a performance by The Hope Dealers after which you can dance the night away with the Easy Aloha’s.
